Guests often appreciate the hotel's location, particularly its convenient access to walking trails and proximity to The Wrekin. Many rooms are spacious and some offer lovely views, including sights of the former natural swimming pool, now a haven for wildlife and views over towards the Welsh mountains. While some guests have noted that the rooms are a bit tired, they still find the location great for visiting the Iron Bridge museum. The food is rated positively by some guests, including both cooked and continental breakfast options.

Acceptable Stay with Notable Issues

dirty kettle insects on window
I found the staff to be helpful and friendly enough.
My room was quite cold. Apparently, the heating is on a timer that activates at 5pm (i arrived much earlier). This situation was not ideal. I found insects on the window ledge in my room, and the kettle was dirty, diminishing the overall experience.
